Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases has led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell's work in Charleston has led to her serving as a co-anchor, reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV.
